Filming blog: Day one

February 18, 2020 marks the first day of filming for our final task project.  Carla, Nagual and I were the only three to film, due to Sofia not being able to make it.  We filmed our opening scenes at Naguals house and worked around Sofia not being there.  We were able to film about 4 to 5 clips, which I would say is reasonably good for the 3 1/2 hours we spent filming and a missing partner.  Our movie is a horror film so it’s amazing to be the villain in the movie.  I spent most of the filming in a wolverine mask chasing people and hurting people.  The parts that I were not in I did the recording because I’m usually the cameraman, I’m very talented at it so I’ll make sure to use my skills.  I’ve become very obsessed with filming ever since we’ve started this class and our previous two tasks.  I have become very good at it and I’m getting better and better with each day we film.  I’ve begun learning how the angles work how to get better lighting and all the extra leverage as it comes along with recording.  The first scene that we filmed where is the opening entrance of carla running down the street, I started to tell me at a low angle close up on her shoes and transitioned it to a tracking shot and then a over the shoulder shot.  I like to take multiple clips of each scene just so that when we go to edit I have a guaranteed good one.  It saves a lot of time in the end and I make sure I get the most quality into the film.  Most people don’t take that type of thinking or caring to their films but I make sure that I do because I want to get the best results that I can.  My favorite scene that I was in was the scene when I had a knife it was scratching against the wall before I made my attack.
As well as being a wolverine they are part of my soul like in my half human transition to so it’s very fun to play around with, With the best part being that since it’s our own original film There are no limits to what happens or what is possible.  I am very creative so this allows me to have even more fun and freedom of filming and taking part of this actual movie.  And all the other films I’ve been in the actual video but this one being one of the main characters if you was very nice that I get this type of takeover or control.  I am blessed to be in such a wonderful group with all hard-working people and everyone is very dedicated to put in there all into this video.  All starting with me being one of the lead actors in majority of the film taking.  I would say the first day of filming was a huge success got a lot done a lot of quality work especially the time that we had in with all of the things that were interfering us the setbacks that we had that adversity that we faced I think he still would be pushed through and got a great job.
